I was there. Had absolutely no strategy which ended up kicking my ass. For some reason I thought I could get most checkpoints. Right.... Although I did manage to hit the PBR stops.
Congrats on 1st fixed. Despite my valient (?) effort, I'm sure I finished somewhere in the middle. Such is life.

But I was timing your a**, along with 165. We were timing the starting race thing down to 18th and Damen and also the time trial between lake/ashland and dearborne/delaware. I was sitting and eating at the Handlebar and as a matter of fact, Marcus of Yojimbo's fame pointing you out, in your general direction in any case. But I was too freaking tired and getting drunk to introduce myself. There's always next time.

Good to see things were happening. Hey Salome, good to hear from ya today - hope you got my message.
Couldn't be there - had a friend come into town, passed by the Handlebar later in the evening, saw Fugazi Dave's "Eat Me" ride locked up on the corner. Was late so didn't stop in - next time though.

Recognition. Sweeeeeeeeeet.
I was working the cargo race with Adam. #40 owned that event, hand's down. The downtime sucked, though - ended up riding in circles practicing my skids a bunch.

I got 2nd/first fixed at the Saturday race. Didnt place for **** sunday, I got 5 hours of sleep and dicked around at fixe battles for an hour, plus my lockrign slipped northside so i took 20 minutes at urban bikes to fix that.
I did do the skidcomps at the petmart.
That talltandem is from the george/whipple house, I had a hand in building it though, and it was born at the same time as my tallbike.

I was there. Just ended up hitting all three super checkpoints. Took like four and a half hours to hit all of 'em (in a five hour race)...
They were something like 6k S., 8k W., and 6k N.. Obscene.

I wish I had more to show. Wasn't feeling very prolific or inspired that day and didn't get much chance to take pictures while timing people in the cargo race. Next time something fixie-related comes up and I'm there with my camera, though, I'll be sure to take ässloads of pictures.
