I'm planning on a three day tour this weekend. I'd leave Saturday morning and ride 30 miles to Green Lane Park, camp, and then ride another 30 miles to French Creek State Park. Monday morning I'd ride the 16 mile downhill home before leaving for work.

Here's the tentative route. Note the big climb at the end of the second day - miles 50-58. Nothing like having a wall to scale before setting up camp.

I've refined the route between Green Lane County Park and French Creek State Park. This route is a little shorter and uses a two mile stretch of the Thun Trail between Douglassville and Monocacy. That saves 100 feet of climbing - none where I need it, however. :(

I've scratched the first day of the tour. I had to work late last night, which meant not getting in until after midnight. That and having eaten something that disagreed with me terribly means I've wasted the morning and early afternoon. I might drive the bike up to the camping area and ride around the lake this afternoon and camp if I feel better.

So it looks like I'll be repeating my November overnight at French Creek on Sunday. It's still quite a climb, with 1700 feet over the 32 mile round trip.

Or not repeating it. Forecast is for thunderstorms and rain most of the day. Since it's only a 16 mile trip to the park I'm holding off on scratching the ride, but matters do not look promising. I think I need to push the entire trip back to next weekend. :(
