Introductions - New here, with a project.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Last night i picked up a 23.5" Giant Rincon off of craigslist for $25. The problem i have is that everything on it has been COMPLETELY disassembled. so i have a frame, all the big parts (seat/rims/bar/ect) and then i have a bag of parts that i'm not too sure how to put together. Is there anyone here that could possibly help with this? i have some pics that i'll put up shortly.
Also, i was just offered a Schwinn 754 for $25. seems like a decent deal. Is the Schwinn worth having?
Welcome to the forums. You need to post your pics in a new thread in the bicycle mechanics forum.
A good place for repair help is the Park Tool website.

How would you describe your mechanical savvy? If you're a good wrench, you can do everything but the wheel build.

i'm a former aviation mechanic. i have the skills, just not the know-how.
the wheels are intact (as in have the bearings and stuff installed). just needs new tires/tubes. i'll need the most help with the shifter assembly. They are grip shifters and i have no idea how they work.
anyone know about that schwinn road bike? for $25 i think i'll pick it up.
The Bicycle Mechanics forum can help with specific questions. Pictures usually help.
