Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - 1970s Campagnolo Hubs

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
The hubs I have are campagnolo and are in a good condition for their age. I dont know how much they have been used, but I recently dismantled them and regreased the bearings (cup and cone style) so they run perfectly now. As they are old(er) they dont have quite the same shine the probably once had, but after some cleaning and shining I think they look impressive. There is a 5 speed freewheel attached and this can be easily removed. Basically...what do you think they're worth.
Please note, this is not an advert trying to sell! Im merely trying to get a valuation!

They're high-flange Tipo hubs (second tier). In that shape, maybe $35-45?

Do you have the other skewer? With the freewheel removed, and both skewers, I've seen them go for anywhere between $50-$100 on ebay. NOS examples have gone for more than $100 a set.
Here's a set without skewers, replacement cones, but in excellent cosmetic shape, that went for $61 on ebay:

Right: But that set was pretty well refurbed and in better cosmetic shape than the OP's, IMO.

Yep.
But still, remove the freewheel, polish them up good, find the skewer, and take some sharper, large photos in natural light and I bet they would sell on ebay for between $60-$75, maybe more.

Well, all I can say is I had a set and watched for a good year, and that's what they were fetching.

Some people just like the look of the Tipos better - I know a guy like that.

Precisely my thoughts. Rear hub is worthless otherwise.

Maybe he's got it screwed on loosely for storage.
I don't think the OP mentioned his location. Last week in SoCal the planets aligned one day and I sold a wheel set with HF Nuovo Tipo hubs on CL. I put them on CL same time as ebay to see what might be. My hubs were very clean, (I polished them up) both skewers, straight and true wheels, nice shiny spokes.
That day the buyer had been hit by a car on his Medici and the lady gave him money on the spot.
He just started buying replacement parts which included the hubs with Mavic tubular rims.
He drove 50 miles one way to pay $175 for the wheel set. No haggling and no ebay fees.
I didn't have a Regina freewheel tool. Had the LBS take it off.
I hope the OP can get that lucky if he sells.
