so this is a 2-part question that has been rattling around in my brain...
(real question)
1st: what exactly is Armstrong's place in this new RadioShack team? is he just a rider/team leader? is he a co-owner?
(hypothetical question)
2nd: lets say he is part owner of the team, and he certainly has the bank roll to just fund his own team (like the guy who owns Rock Racing). are there regulations about owners being on their own team? would it be a conflict of interest to have your own teammate also signing your paychecks? is there a conflict of interest between your personal career and what's best for the team? i mean if lance (or insert hypothetical filthy rich rider here) was owner/part owner of the team and he wants to be the leader, there really isn't anyone to tell him otherwise... except maybe johan, but wouldn't armstrong be signing his paychecks too?
this isn't really a question about armstrong and his tactics/personality/etc but about general policy, even if he is the only rider baller enough (that i know of) to be in the situation
