LONDON — Bradley Wiggins is prepared to release all of his drug-test results from the past 10 years to prove that his impressive fourth-place finish in the Tour de France was not tainted.

Winner of three Olympic gold medals, the 29-year-old rider tied the best finish by a British competitor in the Tour de France which finished Sunday.

"I don't want there to be any suspicion or doubt that what I did was natural. I have nothing to hide and I want this transparency," Wiggins said Wednesday. "If more people did that fans would have a lot more respect for our achievements.

"British Cycling have all my blood tests results from the age of 19 and I might even release everything from the last 10 years."

Nah, he's just one of the most cynical people I've ever "met" (or "read" in this case).

back on topic...i think wiggins' heart is in the right place but the frequent
holier than thou attitude leaves me a little cold. hopefully, he won't be
in the position of being in his 30's and having been in position to win/place/show
several gt's if he'd only had a little extra edge...this year was the first
step towards that. maybe he'll be the rare, untempted cyclist who was on
the verge of greatness/huge contract etc. that was at peace with his natural
abilities. i'm not crying foul over his recent gt contender transformation;
i'm merely wondering if his track success doesn't replicate itself on the
road, what will he do?

What a lousy marketing plan. Market a clean team full of dopers. One positive will sink Garmin along with most of the US sponsorship dollars. Heck, no one even expects Garmin to win.

I did check the "Sun" this morning and Wiggins is already out of the headlines and what ones there are don't mention doping. Sad really, that even is scandal, cycling is underpaid.

My thoughts exactly! I know that people cheat, not just cycling, but at all sports, but if it really upset me to the point that I thought everyone cheated, and that I just lived for the day that they were "found out", I think I'd take up stamp collecting:rolleyes:

Well, Armstrong announced last year that he was all about transparency with his drug testing program. Everyone applauded his forthright stance on his drug testing program. Then, he cancels it. Lesson to be learned here. Wiggins just doing the same thing, unless he actually sticks with it, this all just advertising. Until some time passes, assuming he doesn't pull what Armstrong, then there will be some level of validity in what he is saying now.
