I like the looks of the frame, it's my size, he has decent feedback, but not much info on the frame. English is slightly broken in the description. Listing details say PROBABLY COLUMBUS TUBING, but nothing identifiable on the frame as to the tubing or model. Shipping from Poland seems reasonable. Anyone with experience with this seller? Thanks!

Can't comment on the reputation of the seller. However, I'd inquire why s/he thinks the tubes are Columbus. The seatstay/dropout treatment doesn't spell high end, and neither does the screwed on BB cable guide.

I think its Tange Prestige.

It looks like Columbus SL tubeset frame off of an 85 Cinelli Equipe. Not sure though, some details don't seem right but maybe they varied a bit.

No, that's definitely not a Cinelli Equipe. When I first saw it, I thought the Prestige model as well, but the plastic screw-on BB cable guides and the sloppy dropout/seatstay joints don't exactly spell high end. However, according to one of the resident Centurion experts on BF, the color and decals are very similar to the Comp TAs, which later became the Ironman due to copyright infringement. It's possibly a European issue of the Centurions more common in the United States, anything from the Lemans to the Prestige. However, because of the aforementioned frame details, I'd guess it's no 'better' than an Ironman.

Thanks for the input! It looks nice, but maybe not nice enough to spend $210 on. Hell, I paid that much for a whole original '84 Club Fuji last month!

I had my eye on the same frame. I too could not pull the trigger given the uncertainty. Still tempting though.

The main frame is nearly identical to the 1983 Centurion Turbo, Tange Champion #2, but chromed under the paint. Not sure if "polished" chrome, but it's chromed. Probably 126mm rear.

Duplicolor makes an exact match for the red. Contact rutnick if you buy it, he's got the color code.

The fork is the same as that on the 1985 Centurion Prestige, and is very nice. If it was local and it fit, I'd buy it, find a 600 tricolor groupset, and have just an awesome ride. Seatpost is likely 26.8, if it is like the Turbo.

I'm going out on a limb, but if the frame is what I outlined above, and you buy it, you will realize that prior to the Ironman, there were some very, very nice Centurions.
