Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Ecb1

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I bent my rear rim twice in the last month, this time its trash, does anybody have a suggestion for a rear rim for a 255lb rider that is somewhat of an agressive rider.

Velocity Deep-V, 32 or 36 spoke count. If these can stand up to the thrashing I give them four days a week and longer on weekends, they should be Ok for you. Me: 5' 10" 254 lbs. riding a 2006 Specialized Roubaix Elete triple. Haven't had them go out of true yet, knock on wood :thumb:

If you want a really fast wheel, Zipp 404s. That's what I use and have for the last four years. That's four years of ultra-distance racing. ie lots of fast miles! They are fast and strong! Yes they make a Clydesdale version but I just use the standard one. I range between 220-240 depending on donut consumption. There are a lot of good wheels out there, just make sure they are well built by someone who knows what they are doing!

Road? Cross? MTB?...on my hybrid I upgraded to a Velocity Dyad in the read (36 spoke) after breaking spokes constantly on the stock wheel.
