Well after two years of planning we are finally ready to start our latest biking adventure Trek 2004 "in search of the wee bungie". Our theme comes from our ride two years ago down the Oregon Coast when my son Jake and his friend Dan and I rode our bikes down the Oregon Coast. Dan had a this little bungie cord that he was quite fond of and referred to it as his "wee bungie". Well somewhere along the way the wee bungie was lost. We were all quite fond of it and vowed then and there that someday we would return and hopefully find the wee bungie.
Well that time is here, only this time we are starting in Victoria BC mid July, we have three weeks to ride as far as we can. This time Dans dad is going with us, which will be nice having another old guy so I don't have to try so hard to stay up with my son and Dan. They are both turning 19 soon and it will probably be one of the last times they will do something like this with us so we are determined to take advantage of this trip of a lifetime.
Our sons are excited to go to and even came up with the idea of "Team Bungie" and had Jerseys made up with the Team logo on them for all of us. Anyways this time I have added a few health issues to deal with and really have no idea how I will do. But its great to be 47 and still be able to head out into an unknown adventure.
