Thinking about making my first MB a 29er. I love Gary Fisher, but cannot quite afford one new. What do you think of this?

I have also considered the Surly Karate Monkey, any thoughts?

if you can get it for around 750 its not a bad deal since it'd cost that much to build up the Karate Monkey(at least)
