How does a NuVinci hub perform in cold weather?

I need my bicycle to be reliable down to -20 C. I have no warm storage at night. I'd prefer not to change oil. Thank you for sharing any experience.

a variable planetary hub just seems like a bad idea in winter. a bendix or sturmey archer with a direct drive seems more feasible in extreme temps. I left a 3 speed converted to a direct drive sturmey outside all winter and i froze well before it froze.
