Do carbon forks & seat posts absorb more impact & road vibration vs their suspension counterparts?

Uhhh... that's a very vague question posed against a very broad set of items. I would say that carbon is generally designed to damp vibration as opposed to soaking up big hits and impacts. However, there are some exceptions to this. For instance, my carbon seatpost acts pretty much like an aluminum seatpost but tends to absorb more vibration. However, a Softride beam "seatpost" assembly actually acts like a true suspension system and flexes to provide real suspension travel.

Getting out of the saddle for a few strokes of the pedals every now and then can do wonders for circulation in that area.
