Living Car Free - Trade your car for a bicycle! (one per city x 11)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

New Belgium Brewing is offering one car for bike swap on each stop of it's Tour de Fat. That's 11 cities in total where they will be having the contest.
Cool idea!

Yay, a Bikes for Clunkers program!
Interesting idea, but it does not appeal to me. Give up my car for a less valuable (I'm assuming) bike that I don't even get to pick out/customize? No thanks.

Ditto on the nice idea for somebody that is willing to give up a car, but it won't work for me. I have enough bikes to fit my current needs, and my SUV, though seldom used, still has it's niche in our household.

Every bike is more valuable than any car.
Duh...
Would someone run this deal by the White House? It would make an interesting addition to the Cash for Clunkers program. Is Ray LaHood on this forum?

Duh...Less talk more action! If you trade me running cars plush cash for running bicycles, then I'll be a believer.

I suppose it spends on your definition of value! Value does not necessarily equal monetary value.
