I didn't realize there was a minimum age to buy razor blades and shaving cream. I started shaving my face at 15. Decided to stop fighting nature and have had a beard since 20 (I'm 38 now). I don't shave my legs, but I do keep the hair trimmed fairly short during the summer. I want to shave, but the boss doesn't like the idea.

Don't even think about it. The Shaving Police will crash into your bathroom as you are lathering up and haul you in front of a Judge so fast you won't be able to say "Campagnolo" first. It's sort of like the movie Minority Report, see... they have these psychic dudes in sitting in a tub of goo... and they can tell you are going to shave before you actually do. That's how they get there so fast.

Wait until you're 18... then you can shave, vote and buy and gun...

You have to have hair before you can shave. Peach fuzz doesn't count.

Don't shave and ride. And don't be asking other cyclists to be buying shaving gear for you. Wait till your old enough to smoke and pierce body parts that shouldn't be pierced.

Besides, the guys at school will make fun of you.

No, it's not legal. In most parts of the united states, it's when you're 18 and above.

serious? I didn't know and never thought that is illegal, what's wrong about it? After all, it's not beer or cigarret.

My god, I was shaving when I was 12...by the time I was 14 I was able to grow a goatee.

Given I'm 24 and already have huge black hairs that grow out of my ears, hair on my knuckles and upper arms...and a full-chest mansweater....so I can't call myself any fair comparison.....I can be mistaken for the missing link so I jsut blame it on bad genetics.

Try it, if you like, but don't come crying to us when the DHS breaks down your door and holds you without charge for three months.

Poor, pour, catatonic! You know , your early years are so similar to those of Chris L. Soon you will be shipped off to Perth, or New North Queensberry, or where ever the hell they keep him these days. Another great big hairy beast on two wheels, that Destiny won't let rest. You too, will be riding 30 centuries a month.

It is legal for minors to shave but only if they shave the parts most people leave hairy and leave hairy the parts most people shave. It's just like the new washington state licences, minors have the picture turned 90 degrees for quick ID checks.

Hey, the 30 centuries a months sounds good....but being anywhere close to those stinking funnelweb spiders is all bad....major arachnophobe....i guess the risk of getitng one ensnared in my fur and biting me repeatedly is a good enough reason :(

Hehe, we're joking with him. However, in NYC, I think minors aren't allowed to purchase a razor with a blade. An electric razor is ok. Not sure though, I'm just guessing because to buy spray paint you have to be 18 and older.

Yeah you have to be over 18 to purchase razor blades typically.

That is the stupidest thing I've heard in ages. Are guys just supposed to ignore the whole facial hair thing until they're "of age?" I hate lawmakers.

You also can't buy kitchen cutlery or model glue until 18. Cutlery thing is weird, because when I worked at Sears, they never said anything about us not being able to sell pocket knives or box cutters to minors.

you see....haven forbid a kid eat his steak properly...those little heathens don't deserver that...but we all know kids must have their box cutters and pocket knives...since of course those are actually useful....especially considering all jobs that would require them they are too young to work....see it makes perfect sense.

Model glue???? Why can't kids buy model glue?

you can high from huffing model glue...again, protecting the stupid kids at the expense of everyone else.

I grew up in a small town and I never needed to be carded for model cement. Then again when EVERYBODY knows everybody a thing like huffing tends to get noticed.

You b@stard. I'm also 22 and should probably shave at least once a day. Granted, I tend to actually shave only once every three or four days, but oh well.

Shoot you are both pikers. I have to shave at LEAST once per day and if I want to look reasonably presentable in the afternoon, I need to shave AGAIN. Of course, I do not think that hair growth is exactly a moral failing.

if 15 year old kids can be tried in adult court, then there's no reason why they can't shave?

I guess I didn't think this law applied to razor cartridges, but only to single- and double-sided blades and to box cutters... so unless these kids are trying to shave with antiques, I doubt there's really a problem... though I am, as always, neither a lawyer nor an expert! ;)

If you do it right you can burn it off with a propane torch while leaving the skin unharmed.
