Road Cycling - Plain Jersey

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
It seems like its impossible to find a plain jersey, solid color or with little color variation. I don’t like the crazy flashy jerseys or ones with bit writing on them or bizarre designs. I am just looking to get some in addition to the team ones I have.

Try www.mec.ca

They have the Performance Classic short sleeve jersey. Not the best quality, but I don't mind that in a jersey, and well worth the price in my opinion. I will be getting another one at some point.

ebay, 'love2pedal' carries Ascent & has a ebay store. I'm not affliated, just a satisfied customer. I've given them several positive feedback postings.

Nike makes a line of (relatively) plain jerseys, body of one color, sleeves and rear pockets of another. Also, if you have Sports Authority in Washington, they carry plain jerseys by Canari.
Also check out Western Bike Works http://www.westernbikeworks.com/clothing_and_gloves.htm where the special is plain Castellie jerseys for $30.

Every november Canari has a blowout sale at their outlets. They have plain yellow/black/red/etc. jerseys for about $8-$10 each. Pretty good price if you ask me.

I agree, I don't want to be flashy. I found a few Hind jerseys from Sun n Ski I interchange regularly. Not ultra-conservative, but not too loud either. Basic solid red in the central/chest/stomach/shoulder, and white on the sides. Another is grey/white/red. There are no graphics, other than a small Hind logo on a rear pocket.

my favorite is Castelli. their "Simple" model is just that, high quality and simple. It is also a full zipper jersey.

Shoot...Sun N Ski has a bunch of these. (I am not a big Sun n Ski fan, but their bike dept is staffed with cyclists, and it happens to be a convenient location for me). They are not real T-shirt per se -- they are made of microfiber or other jersey material, and are merely designed to look more like a plain t-shirt. When I bought my bike I swore I would never wear flamboyant cycling clothes, but I quickly realized how much more practical it is to ride with lycra stuff.
