May I introduce my brand new 2007 Kona Dawg.

(Slideshow... easier on forums)
just click the pic below for complete slideshow

So what do y'all think? I can't wait to shred with it!

All I need now is a shock pump... the shock has wayyyyyyy tooooo much sag.

Already switched out the SPD pedals for the ones I had on the trek, (M540's I think.)
Only disappointment is my Thomson post is too big for this frame. so I'll get another Thomson in the future to fit, thinking about one with some setback to it for this rig.

I think tomorrow I'll try to set up the front fork.
They didn't give me the manual for the suspensions =( so I'll have to pull it off the site.
I just have to remember this is all 2007 stuff.

He just looked at it and was like..
" you happy now?...... the colors nice........ now what you going to do with your old bike"

They want me to pay rebuild the wheel on the trek, so HE can ride it lol.

I'm content with the Dawg for now.

Thanks guys!
I get this Sunday off, I can't wait to ride it.

This could be a great time to "rebuild" some things with your Dad. You should use this as a chance to spend some "quality" time. I know the girlscout and I have had a lot of good times just pedaling along and talking.

nicely done.Indeed! My LBS tossed in a pump with my new Trance X2. They should have a box full of them laying around. :)

pssh.

This Shop is run by the Services Squadron (military owned)

no freebies here.

but I can't complain, the bikes awesome

I dialed in the front suspension today for the most part (my frame pump worked good enough, as I didn't have to go very high pressure)

now I just need to get the FLoat tuned up once I get my hands on a shock pump.

Like the float, its simple, no knobs or anything... but that also means no damping or lockout lol.

place your bets, boys and girls: how long 'till he breaks it?

He only wants to use it as a commuter, I could try and get him some fire roads, but I doubt it.

awww Zan, don't jinx me now!
Component level on this bike is nicer than the last, so I shouldn't have many problems. I was going to put the LX on it, that is until it got wrecked when it ate the Trek.
Pretty beefy though, I didn't realize until now that it has O/S bars and stuff like that.

Later on I'm feeling a Thomson post, thing one with some layback (setback w/e you guys call it)
figured it'd gve it more of a FR DH feel/look

BUT to add to the bet =)
I am going out this sunday to find some trails, and riding the Dawg.

edit: I love the Maxxis Ignitors, they really dig in, I rode around the base with it, tore up some of my grass =)

Fixed it for you.

Welcome to club Kona. I want that color. How about a blue one in trade?

-_RebelRidin'_-

Blue is what all my gear is lol, cause my trek was blue...

but...
ahh, I love that red color!

The color is actually what lead me to this bike. The new "mall" we have here just opened up special stores, Like the Outdoor Recreation, and I took an elevator down to it to check it out, and there it was, right by the elevator surrounded by Stinky's and coil airs. and a few Dawg Delux's.
But the color just really jumped out. I started looking at it and checking it out, and I decided... "thats mine.. I want that."

B2B, no not juicy's. Hayes soles....

Which I have a question about. I realize disks need a time to break in, but.. I have like no stopping power, compared to my BB7 on the Trek. Should I give it more time, or go to the shop and ask what the deal is, and for them to give me my shock pump..... or rather I buy one.. -_-.

my discs started working immediately (less than 5km on the bike). so... go out for 5km. if it still doesn't stop properly, get 'em to set it up.

Thanks for that,

My front is starting to work pretty good.

the rear just feels way to "loose".

I don't think they bled the system or w/e right. I'm going to hold of a bit, as I want to wait atleast 30-50 days (i get 60 days) for the free tune up.
