I am sure this has come up before but I have been searching all over the internet and have found mixed results and not completely sure what or if there is an answer to my problem. I have a shimano drivetrain, 8 speed sora ****fers and derailers. I have campognolo wheels that I would like to put on, I know if i get a campy 8 speed cassette and a shiftmate then they will be compatable, but i think my freehub is a campy 9 or 10sp, not possitive though, is there a difference in the 9 and 8 sp freehubs, is there a way to put an 8 sp on a 9 sp? or if anyone has any other solutions i would be glad to hear them.

here are some things that I have found, which one sounds like the better option.

http://www.totalcycling.com/index.php/product/SPC_freehub_S9.html?action=currency&id=USD

or http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/k7.html the 8 speed campy cassettes say they fit 89 and 10 sp plus a jtek shiftmate
