went on my first just-for-fun bike ride tonight since I bought my new bike. Everything else has been commuting. It was a nice ride, mostly on one of the trails in Columbus. Total was 13.1 miles. I wasn't concerned with time, just the way it felt to ride. When I set out it looked like it might rain, and I was kind of hoping for it. It didn't rain during my ride, but ten minutes after my return. The ride was totally uninhibited. No backpack, no purse, no worrying about sweating on co-workers. It felt really nice to just be with my bike (I heard a rumor she was going to give me her letter jacket :love:).

I am considering a 20-25 mile ride this Sunday. I have ridden 20 miles total in a day before this, but not all at once.

Biking, where have you been all my life? ;)

I was kinda hoping to see some pictures of a sexy bike. It sure is fun riding a bike eh!

That's cool, that feeling one gets while riding. I had it going on yesterday. Even extended the miles I was feeling so good. About two miles from my truck (had met others for a ride) I noticed I couldn't focus on the white line. DARN, a migraine headache!:mad: I had to ride back to the truck half blind, sit in the hot truck for 30 hot mintues till I could see well enough to drive home. That ruined the day!:D

Have to say cycling probably saves my life / calms me down... I had a bad day Wed afternoon, in foul mood. Didnt get any better when car pool person was 30 minutes late to leave then I hit another car trying to get home to ride (thankfully no damage to either car). After a 20 mile ride I felt human again and ready to face the world again.
