Anyone want to join me for a three and a half hour ride through some hills? The plan is to leave corner of lawrence and homestead around 8, ride out to Kings Mountain using Foothill, down 84, then climb either half way or all the way up Kings Mountain again (just so I can descend that bad boy), and then ride back. The ride should be on an easy side, but without any long stops for donuts and such.

One thing to consider - the Tour de Peninsula is this Sunday, and the Metric Century route goes up Kings. You might get stuck having to pass a bunch of slow, fat, sweaty Weekend Warriors (like me!) on the way up, and avoid our pre-cardiac-arrest meanderings across both lanes on your descent.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll see how bad it is the second time I start the climb. I'll be in UCI Jersey on the Taiwanese plastic bike (red of course). :roflmao2:

I'll be the guy who looks like Santa, in a white NorCal BF jersey on Ferrari Red EYE-talian steel.

I'll say hello as you pass. Like this:

HHEEeellllloooooooooooo. [/doppler effect]

If I weren't on-call, I'd be in ... now there is the Hicks suffer-fest I'm leading the following Saturday :innocent:

I'll be doing Patterson Pass on Sunday, so nothing with the name "suffer-fest" on Saturday. :)

What time would the majority of the riders hit Kings Mountain. Going up with them should be fun, more people to chat with. :) Although I do not want to worry about people riding on a wrong side of a road during the descent.

I think most of the time, I hit it around 10:30 to 11:00. It can vary, depending on how many clubs decide to ride King's Mountain on that day.
