Short notice, but if anyone wants to come along on a ride from Norton (Silver Creek Metro Park) on the road to Dalton (rolling), where we'll pick up the Sippo Valley Trail into Massillon (flat), where we'll pick op the O&E Towpath to Canal Fulton and Clinton (flat), then back to Silver Creek on the road (rolling). I figure it's a 40-50 mile loop.
Cheri and I plan on riding out sometime before noon, but have no set time to go, so I figured I'd put it out here and if anyone wants to go, I'll check in here in the morning to solidify a meet time.
Chip, Me and Tina have a swim meet we have to attend with our kids, so no show for us, bummer. Have a good one, maybe next time. Dan

Well I reversed the route. We started from home and rode down to Clinton, where we picked up the Towpath into Canal Fulton then Massillon, stopping for a cookie at that little place next to Ernie's bike shop. From where we continued through Massillon and picked up the Sippo Valley trail. After less than a mile or so we got a surprise - someone burned down a bridge! Rather than turn around, I carted the bikes and Cheri down the ravine, across the creek and back up on the other side of the bridge. Nice thing about wearing sandals...wading through creeks is no problemo! Any of you wanting to link between the Sippo and the Towpath should keep this in mind, I don't see that bridge being rebuilt for years.
We continued on the Sippo into Dalton, where we turned for home up Dalton Fox Road, to Fulton, to Black Diamond to Galehouse to Callenboone, across Grill to Hametown and home. We had pretty much a tailwind coming home, which made the rollers a breeze. In fact, being off the bike for a week, my knee had been really bothering me and it hurt for about the first 20 miles, but after that it felt better than it has in a while! Just proves the point that I fall to crap if I don't ride regularly.
FYI, the entire loop was right at 50 miles...not counting the portage across the creek of course. ;)
Figures, they complain because we use their roads and when we get a trail to use they F it up and put us back on the roads. wish they would make up their minds!!!!
