If you're not from the area or have no knowledge of it, just ignore this and pass it by, but if you live in Cedar City or have a decent knowledge of the cycling communty there, I would love some help. I live in Portland, OR, and am going to be a senior in highschool this September and one of the colleges I'm looking at is Southern Utah University in Cedar City. The only question is, how is the cycling there in pertaining to commuting (just to and from campus for the most part) and perhaps a little/tiny/minute bit of touring?

I don't know, Utah seems like it would have alot of cyclists and be very bike-friendlybecasue of the fantastic outdoor lifestyle, but bike commuting is definetly a stronger presence in big cities.

Thanks!

Hi. I live in St. George area, and have ridden all around Southern Utah, including Cedar City. You'll be fine commuting in the spring and fall - but it SNOWS in Cedar - so not sure you'll want to ride to school in the winter months. Pretty much all of Utah is cyclist-friendly. We love it! There's TONS of touring!

Fantastic! Thanks so much! I definetly got that bike-friendly vibe going through Utah (the touring looked unbeatable)!

Thanks for letting me in on the whole snow issue. Definitely not a problem, but I'm glad I won't be surprised haha.

Thanks again!
