I've been trying to help her find a bike for forever. She's not real comfortable on a upright bike that's set up correctly. She feels out of control. I was taking my bike into the shop today to have them try and find a annoying click coming from somewhere near the bottom of my drivetrain, and she went in with me. The shop happened to have a recumbent in stock today and after some coaxing she took it for a short ride, and loved it. It's a trike so she feels very stable, it has a full backrest semi reclining seat so it will be easier on her bad back. And she liked everything else about it also. It's a Sun X3 SX trike (http://www.sunbicycles.com/product_detail.php?short_code=X3+SX+Trike&cl1=RECUMBENT) and the asking price was around $800.00 I'm not sure how good of a deal that is but if it gets her riding with me then I don't care. Heck after test riding it I think that I may be interested in a recumbent myself. I'd rather have a trike with the double wheels in front though.

Yeah. Ok. But what color is it?

Seriously, I'm happy for her. You are a sweetie for not even quibbling about the price.

Go for the red! Go for the red!

Very nice bike. I hope she gets it and enjoys her rides.

Depends on how much he paid for his bike!:p

It IS red, and it was $799.00+ tax. I thought that it was a good deal.

P.S. I did find out that You can't turn too quickly on this thing. I became a stunt rider trying to balance on 2 (out of 3 )
wheels in the parking lot. And I really like the idea of 4 bottle cage attachment points. She should be quite happy.

So do I. It's why I took it in; and happened to catch sight of the bike I'm buying for my wife, in the first place. I don't know if it's bottom bracket, pedals, chain-rings, or chain. I can feel it and hear it happening, but it only seems to happen when I putting some extra pressure on the pedals. Not when I'm cruising.
