Hi Folks,

I live in Melbourne and ride a Trek 5200 road bike. I started riding a few years back as I'm fast approching 40 and am in need of losing 20 pounds.

Hi Hitchy,

LOL, with the cold weather, I'm finding motivation to get my butt frozen off is weighning. I have, however just purchased a Mag trainer and am doing some indoor riding at night.

If I get motivated, I'll try and catch onto the back of one of the groups heading down Beach Rd this Sunday...if I can get out of my nice warm bed that is!

Geez, I can't escape notoriety around here, can I? What can I say but a slightly belated welcome to the forums! What's it like to live somewhere that actually experiences winter?

Must get boring all those sunny days, perfect beaches, gorgeous half naked women, awesome lifestyle and not knowing what it's like to put 5 layers on to go for a spin. Nope, not jealous at all!!

Don't know if boring's the word. Sunny days? We almost ran out of water completely 12 months ago, the beaches here are a little too crowded for my liking. Half naked women? Can't everyone access that on the Internet these days? What I actually like about it is the variety of riding. Not many people realise that only a few km from the beach, I have access to 1,000 metre mountain climbs in world-heritage listed rainforests.
