Fox News reported today on backwards ridng Washington state cyclist
and his training in an attempt to break a record. They stated he would
have to ride 62.5 miles in 4 MINUTES.

By my calculation, that would be 937.5 mph.

I think it's supposed to be four hours (http://www.pnwlocalnews.com/pierce/bch/news/51840827.html?period=W&mpStartDate=07-20-2009).

I once knew a kid that could do this. The little punk could ride across town without trouble.

I used to wheelie everywhere. Even around corners and down stairs. No way I could do that today, even on my mudder.

Can you use mirrors to navigate? Riding @ 15 mph for four hours seems like one of the more achievable world records if you get the hang of steering. Especially if you can find a long, flat, straight low-traffic road.

Are you implying that this is somehow inaccurate?

In short video, dude had no mirrors. He was on, what appeared to be, a
quarter mile H/S/ running track w/painted lanes. He seemed to be using
a mtn. bike with thin road tires.
