Touring - Which New Hampshire region to cycle in?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi Folks
I'm planning a couple of days in the New Hampshire region and I really don't know which region to cycle in!
Which region(s) offer the best roads with the best scenery (I'm not a goat but I can do 1500 meters of elevation in a day ride).
Thanks in advance!

My vote would be for the white Mountains region. base yourself in North Conway or Conway, get a good road map and map out some rides to the north. My first suggestion is to start in Conway, take Rte 16 to the Kancamagus Highway, follow the Kanc to Bear Notch Road, follow Bear Notch Road to Bartlett, then head back towards North Conway on US 302. Turn off 302 onto West Side Road and bypass North Conway with West Side Road going back to Conway. If you want to start in North Conway, use River Road to get to west Side road and go from there.
