Professional Cycling For the Fans - Team "The Shack" ?

My understanding is that to fully tie-in with Livestrong, this will be the TRS-80 uniform.

Radio Shack was wise to change the name if they wanted to be in Pro Cycling anyways. Here's why....

During the races . . . how do people get all this info of what's happening ? . . . Race Radio. Essentially people along the course in cars/motorcycles etc. reporting whats happening. So . . .when say Phil and Paul during the Tour get info . . it's from the race radio.
Now . . you can imagine with all the languages and translation's . . . . adding "radio shack" to the terms used on race radio would be confusing. The word "radio" should only be used for the term "race radio".

imo, they (being radio shack and cse) must have some idea on how the team name will work out. This rebranding has to be at least a year in the making, and had to be part of the sponsorship negotiations from the start. If not, then i'd love to be a fly on the wall in the cse offices when this hit the wires, because team 'the shack' is oh so incredibly great sounding. lol. But in all seriousness, i'm sure there's something coming down the pipeline with regards to the name that will be somewhat decent sounding.

The Shack is about as small time as it gets. The Shack, for goodness sake! A clapboard shack!

Radio Shack has some good tid bits that you really can't get any where else. Are they going bankrupt? Hope not................................................................................................. .....................................................................................

I think that it is a mistake to change to "The Shack". I admit that "Radio Shack" is not the coolest name for a sponser but then again how many of the teams have cool name sponsers.

I would prefer them to just have "Radio Shack" instead of trying to be cool.

There has never been anything cool about Radio Shack. So it is a marketing scheme destined for either failure or mediocre success. Just a national chain store where you can get some things that you need like small electronic gadgets, wire and connectors. The hobby electronic stuff seems to get worse every year.

The majority of Radio Shack's business now seems to be selling cell phones. Every time I go into the store to buy a wire or audio connector or something nearly everyone in the store is buying cell phones.

If they really want to be cool they should go with something like "Radiotélégraphie Hutte" This is really more fitting anyway since a cellphone is a radio combined with a telephone.
