Living Car Free - LCF and the Health Car Bill

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Some of this makes me think the Living Car Free nut cases are working up on Capitol Hill. Sidewalks, Bike Paths and Farmers' markets? What's next "Bucks for Beaters" down at the LBS?
"A draft Senate bill would provide up to $10 billion annually for a "prevention and public health investment fund" - a portion of which could be used for infrastructure projects such as bike paths, sidewalks, farmers' markets and other community interventions meant to curb chronic and costly conditions such as obesity."
"But a concurrent CDC report also laid out "strategies" for combating obesity, many of which bear a striking resemblance to drafted legislation: increasing availability of healthy foods, limiting sedentary behavior and creating communities that support physical activity."

I've been thinking a lot lately about the "synchronicity" (as somebody put it in a different thread) between the issues of carfree/carlight living, health, the food we eat, and the ways we design our shared environment and infrastructure. These things all work together, and they have a great deal to do with our overall happiness in life. The health of individuals, societies and the planet seem to be three facets of the same jewel, so to speak.
It has been suggested that the health insurance companies should voluntarily donate a portion of their massive profits to local governments, who would use the money to rebuild streets so that healthier lifestyles would be an easier option for many people.

It's an uprising. They are trying to take back the cities. Get people back to health... Clear the polluting vehicles from the streets. Force people to eat decent food. This is all a symptom of socialism. We will soon have no "choice" left.
[Did I end the last paragraph with the word "left"?..OMG!]

No, women will have a choice left to have an abortion.

That's right. But it's prepositions ya aren't supposed to end sentences with.
