i dont wear any "protection" when I ride. Just shoes, shorts, and shirt....and the occasional pair of boxers :) I bring my MP3 player too a lot so im always wearing headphones. I think it helps me focus on my riding. What do you think?
cant ride without gloves -sweat and blood...:D
cant ride without shinpads -
anyway: focus - thats it. when you have music, you got a whole world of your own - thats the reason why i wear big closed noise cancelling headphones. kind of protection, too. ;) they get a little sweaty, but i dont care. what kind of headphones do u use?

You should wear back padding, helmets, knee pads, elbo pads, gloves, and a mouth guard. They have an open face helment or a full face helment. I am happy to help.:)

I ride shin/knee pads, a HELMET, and good shorts or pants ALWAYS. And my shirt will depend on what i'm doing, or where i'm going. Never thought about a mouth guard though. How is that useful? i might look into getting one.
