6 days until I officially venture into the world of triathlon. It is a sprint distance, but still I am starting to get a little nervous. The last week has not been a good training week, just not good sessions. I did a 600 meter OWS last Tuesday, and several rides last week, but haven't been running for about a week and half due to really sore achilles tendon.

Wish me Luck, please.

Good luck and have fun!

Don't worry about the run training. Better to be undertrained than overtrained or injured :)

just rest and relax. go for a quick bike ride, something you feel confident in.
saturday get your transition bag packed early, in the afternoon do a once over on your bike. hit the sack about a 30 minutes earlier than you want because your nerves will have you tossing around for a bit.

But.........dont worry, its all mental and you've trained hard for this! YOU CAN FINISH STRONG!

good luck man. the swim is always the tough part for first timers and the nerves seem to be unsettled in that area. you seem very content with it and had a nice ows to get a good feel for it. bang out the swim and the bike and pace yourself on the run.

Good luck! My first triathlon was also the first open water swim I had done in about 20 years, so you're already way ahead on that score :) Don't worry, you'll do fine.
