it sucks that it's the same day at The Tour Of The Hamptons ride out east, because that's a really nice ride too...

And also the same day as the Twin Lights ride. But it is a nice ride. If the route is like last years the 50 miler is mostly flat, except for the climb up Walnut towards the end.

..and why did they schedule the Twin Lights Ride on a Saturday rather than the usual Sunday?

I did the century last year and it was a nice ride. Hope to find a fast group to ride with this year...

One weekend or the other, you bump into the Holidays, hence every ride is on the same day. As for me, I'll be mixing Gatorade at Saddle River and Tenafly rest stops on Escape New York. I'm sure the product will be one of our finer vintages.

I'm with the MPBC and our reason for scheduling the Tour of the Hamptoms for Saturday was the Jewish Holidays. Come on out, it's a great time of the year and our Gatorade mix is awesome :D

The Tunnel to Towers run is the next day. Makes sense to schedule them back to back so you can do both in the same weekend.

I see but one holiday in September, Labor Day, and that's on a Monday.
