Currently using two Weyless carbon cages. Despite the cheesy name and stupid logo plastered on the sides of the cages, they are actually really good. The only problem is that they're carving up my bottles. I just got my hands on two Tacx bottles that are great looking and irreplaceable collector's items (I know, I know) and don't want this to happen to them.

So, I'm considering a pair of Tacx Tao cages. The only drawback is they got negative reviews on roadbikereview, though maybe no one thinks to write a review for their bottle cage unless it breaks. If Taos suck, then I'm open to suggestions short of spending $50 apiece on carbon cages.

Thanks.

Specialized Ribcage. Cheap, light, and durable.

EDIT: I must say though, that it may scuff the bottle. I don't take too much notice of the bottles appearance. Sorry.

I have always just used the plain cheap metal waterbottles cages. $3.99 at my LBS and they have never ruined a bottle for me.

Profile Design Kage

there is something to be said for leaving a collectors item at home and going for cheaper bottles you can destroy if the Weyless are an otherwise good fit.

ahem.

And they don't scuff up the bottles?

Tacx made .75 L Team Once Bottles last year. I've already got a bunch of 500 ml Team Once bottles, which happen to go great with my bike. But I need larger capacity so as not to die and the .75 L bottles are perfect.

i switched to the Tacx Tao's for this year. they are great. i don't use the titanium ones. they don't scuff and look great on my bike. at $14 per, they should last for many many years.
