Great Lakes - Bike shop to box a couple in Chicago bikes?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi,
I'll be in Chicago in a few days and need to box a couple of bikes. Any suggestions for shops?

Such as France is a big country, Chicago is a BIG city.
Where will you be staying?

Any of them....srsly. There's an obscene number of shops in the city.
This site, the Chicago Bike Shop Database, should help you locate a suitable bike shop. My favorite is Get a Grip Cycles.

Good luck and have fun.

Good analogy BTW, pure genius!
Anyway, I found the bike shop database and called around. Finding a shop that is willing to do the work on a weekend and actually does box bikes proved to be a little more difficult than you would imagine. Get a grip is closed on monday, which is when I would need to pick up the boxed bikes, so that didn't work out. Finally ended up scheduling an appointment with kozy's cyclery so I hope that was a good choice.
Which Kozy's shop (location) did you go with? There's like 4 or 5, I forget. It *should* be fine but it all depends on the person doing the job (but boxing a bike isn't that hard). I've had good luck in all my dealings with Kozy's.
