I just thought this would make a few people happy, it made me laugh. For the first time in a while I drove into town because I was going drinking at a friend's place and didn't feel like being too dehydrated by biking in (only 10 miles) so I drove my car. Anyways as I got out of my car I heard the rear tire loosing air. Now here is the funny thing. I've been bike commuting into town since about Febuary on the same stock tires my Trek 520 came with, and I haven't had one flat. I guess that's what I get for driving my car.

It's better to be drinking and cycling than drinking and driving.... ;)

Too bad you probally didn't have a REALLY BIG SPARE tube and a REALLY BIG set of tire levers in the trunk... you could just flip the car over and...

nevermind...

Actually, I carry one of those tire plug kits and a floor pump in my truck when I go into the backcountry, along with a good spare. I've never yet had to fix a tire somewhere out in the desert, but I have successfully patched my own car and truck tires at home... :)
