my buddy wants a "mountain bike" to "never take into the woods". A Hybrid. I'll be scouring the free/nearly free adds and resources for him since he is poorer than poor. He is kind of like a sasquatch that some one shaved and taught a few words. He's 6'4-5" and between 230 and 260 depending on how much salmon are running up river. I assume that a the zero dollar price poing ANY suspension is out for his weight. In road bikes I'd be looking at a 62-64cm frame. What about in a nice hybrid or MTB?

Probably a 51-53cm frame with 26" wheels to avoid toe rub on the front wheel when manuevering.
