Foo - Stupid neighbor rant!

Well, I just got back from a walk with my dog Inge. We were attacked by a little terrier dog that the neighbor let run loose. The little dog went straight after Inge. I just want you to know that Inge is a very good mellow dog but she originally grew up in a very bad area before I rescued her. She is tough and doesn't afraid of anything if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I grabbed the leash and have a pretty nasty boo boo on my hand right now. And that little ****er of a dog bit my expensive boot as well. Should have just stomped on the thing but I'm not that type of guy; I hate cleaning dog crap off my boot let alone a little squashed dog.

With that said, I totally blame this on the neighbor. Now I'm not one of those peps that call the landlord but this isn't the first time this has happened. I'm thinking of walking over soon to express my displeasure with their stupid pet owning skillz.

The little puke BIT you? There is no difference between a 100 lb pit bull biting you and a 10 lb ankle biter. This is unacceptable. You need to make sure the little **** has it's rabies vacc up to date. You need to go to a DR/ER to get the wound properly cleaned, you may need antibiotics. Call the SPCA / Animal control and report the bite. I repeat: This is unacceptable.

If my dog was onleash and some dog came at us trying to bite, well, I would punt them if I could. I'm a bunny hugger but that ends when my dog or me is under threat from some vicious ass hole dog.

The rat didn't do any damage to me, just my boot. Inge was very close to hurting the dog. Inge is a fighter when she has to be...she had her jaws around the little rats neck until I peeled her off.

Again, I don't blame the dog. It's the owners fault. If it happens one more time, I'll report it to the Police.

Leashes are a requirement here at the complex I live at. If it happens again, I'll report it to the police.

Nope, the dog that attacked is genetically made built that way. Some terriors are just dang mean!

I want to make this clear though, Inge is a very kind dog and everyone on Foo would like her. She is such a cool dog that I take her into a few nursing holmes every other week. The residents love her!

Also, I'm buying a child trailer this weekend so I can take her on rides. With help of a dear friend, I've allready have some glasses and a doggy helmet picked out for Inge.

FYI: I don't smoke, my former roommates were major slobs.

That has happed to me twice. Both times my dog was a a leash, but times the other dog was not.
My dog; 110 lbs lab\coon hound mix. All he wants to do is sniff things.
The first time, I was hiking with my wife, daughter, Copper, and our other dog Sofie(six months old at the time). We meet up with an idiot with a german shepard mix, shw has the crappy piece of rope of a leash around he waist. I make my dog sit at my heel on the edge of the trail, her dog goes straight for my dog, teeth bared. Growling, snarling, snapping of jaws ensues. I try to pull my dog away, he has gone into defense mode and wants to engage, and pulling him a way from an unleashed dog isn't going to happen. So I use the leash to get him out of the way and give me a clear shot at the other dog. I wanted to kick it beneath the chin, but it was a moving target and I got it in the ribs. The dog must have realised that it wasn't going to be a fair fight, and walked behind it's idiot owner with it's tail between it's legs. I told the owner if it happens again, I'll kill the dog. And have a nice day.
The second time I'm walking the dogs with my wife when a rottwieler comes running across the street straight toward my dog. I was able to pull mine back and aim, a good kick under the chin stopped him cold, and he backed off. This kinda bothered me because the dog turned out to be a sweetheart, but once again, the owner was an idiot.
So next time it happens, get your shot in first, teach the little thing a lesson.

Trying to kick a moving dog is tricky, when the boxer dogs came for me I tried to kick them but they dodged...

My gramma told me she was out walking with her friend when some jerk dog came running after them, bit her friend on her butt so my gramma hauled off and kicked the dog in his "testicles" as she put it. My granmma is pushing 80. lol.

My Lab-rottie mix is 110lbs, give or take. She's a pushover, big dogs literally have to be. I've watched her let an 18-month-old boy take her off her feet with her tail wagging. She also won't paw at a kid like she does to me.

King Co. has leash laws, we have signage posted all over the apartment complex instructing tenants as to such laws, yet there are people who have little yippie dogs which come bolting over, off-leash, when I bring my pup ASCII outside.
ASCII is a 73 pound Ridgeback/Boxer mix who, despite good training, has some "personal space issues" due to abusive treatment before she was rescued. She's also a hella good guardian, and doesn't let people/animals just run up and get in her peoples' faces.
It takes some effort, but I can keep her at heel, although she's growling and straining about it while I explain the leash laws and mention that my pup has toys that outweigh their dog (and usually I'll let a little bit of leash "slide" while I say that.)
I haven't had to bring up the leash laws with any particular neighbour more than once after a meeting like that.

Saw some yuppie tard in a clothing store with a rat dog offleash (indoors) that really pisses me off, think they'd allow my almost 60 lb completely non-aggressive dog in there? Doubt it. Sigh.

We had a good natured, well trained female German Shepherd. Her weakness was squirrels and cats but dogs didn't interest her. Two incidents were rather humerous. First, we're walking down the street and a dachsund came trundeling out of its yard yapping. Our dog, on a leash, didn't care. The little weiner dog got close, still yapping. Our dog didn't care. Then the stupid little dog nips at our dogs paws and trys to bite her stomach. The great big dog paw of justice comes down and our Shepherd just stands on this little dog. After much yelping and struggling, our dog lets the little dog up and that little dog scampers back home. Second incident was with a little Yorki a few houses down from the Dachsund. We're in the street and the Yorki does the standard run out yapping and nipping. This time, our Shepherd grabs the dog in her jaws, shakes the Yorki like the proverbial rag doll (it looked horrendous), and does a "patooie" spitting the dog out. We thought the Yorki was dead but, after a little flailing about on the road, the dog got up and ran home.

I was always more worried about the bigger dogs after ours got bit in the haunches so I've kicked a few larger dogs to shoo them off. If the other dog is not properly restrained, it's the owners problem if their dog gets injured.

Just had an incident with my dog yesterday.

My buddy Steve came over and I got to meet his very sweet blue heeler, Jake. He is just about the same size as my heeler Merry, and very friendly. Well, Steve let Jake out of his truck to meet Merry and they did their circling and butt-sniffing thing (Jake and Merry to be clear) and everything seemed cool. As Steve and I were chatting the dogs hovered around us, and if there's one thing I can say about Merry: She's excellent with people, but protective around other dogs.

I'm not sure what started it, but they got into a quick tussle that we broke up, but not before poor Jake got a small cut by his eye. Steve was very cool about it and Jake seemed OK otherwise. I still felt really bad about it though.
