Heaven forbid you hit a stray pebble with those wheels. They look as though they would lock up like the casters on a shopping cart hitting a bottlecap.

Seriously needs a thudbuster, but would be a cheap alternative to the Segways that I see being used around airports. Don't know that it would handle a large peace officer, belt, vest, gun, ammo, comm, flashlight, ....

The A-bike has a single gear transmission optimised for short journeys and easy use.
So, it is not made for any significant riding. It is like the benefit is it folds really small, the down side is it isn't much good for riding other than short easy trips.

I wonder if you ride through a grocery store with that, will the front wheel shake uncontrollably from side to side?

I think the intent is that you can easily take it on a bus or train, so makes it easier to make the 2 blocks from there to your office.
Although, it would be neat to see a stage of the Tour de France ridden on those.
