I am trying to take off my front tire and am having problems. I used the quick release tab and unscrewed that bar that goes in between the tire but it is still connected to the forks and the wheel doesn't come off. How do I get it off. It is a new bike for me.

If you have V-brakes, you need to disconnect the arms by unhooking the cable between the brake arms. If that's not it (or you have discs) try and unscrew the skewer completely, and slide it out through the hub. This should completely disconnect the wheel from the fork and allow it to slide free.

Lol. I didn't know what a Stinky was. I didn't assume he had through-axles, because regular QR skewers can unscrew and pull through the hub too. Probably doesn't have V's though. Thanks Bikepedia!

sorry, I was on my laptop, which is all but dead. when I type, it doesn't register letters, or it thinks I hit something when I didn't.... none of the USB ports work, and fried mother board.... etc..

its dead lol.
