Looking at purchasing an 09 Cannondale R2 tandem. Any reviews on this bike from Cannondale owners out there?

The geometry changed for 09, after being the same from 2000-2008, so there may not be much feedback here.
Some friends of mine won the national mixed 70+ championship in Lousville a month or so ago on an 04 Cannondale, so they are quite capable of high level performance.

We got our 09 Cannondale Road 2 (White) Tandem in April. We've been very busy this summer and only have about 300 miles on it. We are new to tandeming, but have been having a wonderful time with the bike. It is a beautiful bike and we've had no trouble with it. We did a lot of research before the purchase and have no regets! Go for it!

What size did you get? I'm ordering the M/S but my concern is that my stoker is going to be comfortable back there. She rides a 54cm Klein right now. Curious as to how tall your stoker is.

My wife and I test rode one. Bike size was XL/S and seemed to fit fine. I'm 6', and my wife is 5'8". Nice bike and well spec'd for $2500.

My wife and I have an '07 we bought new the end of '08. Well worth the price. I checked out the '09 they had at the lbs it has since been sold. Many specs similar though they finally did make some mods to the frame.
For the price a great bike. We ride a L/S I'm 6' and my wife is 5' and it fits us very well. Rode with the guys from the office last Thursday night. On the return of the 20 miler we hit the very slight downhill and 33 mph and left all the singles behind.
Go for it... its a great ride!
