It would have been cooler if the picture on the Jersey was him shooting all the top riders with syringes out of a blow gun.

Doping jokes are rarely funny.

Ah, didn't mean it so much to be a joke about doping as much as a joke about how absurd of a thing that is to wear.

That is really wrong...it almost looks like something that was photochopped but i think its real.

I mean really...who wears a picture of themselves?

Maybe, he has turned himself inside out or whatever that Paul Sherwen expression is?

Nope. It's real.

From Velonews:

"Vinokourov lined up Tuesday in the French Castillon-La Bataille criterium without a formal team, racing instead with a jersey emblazoned with his photo in an Astana jersey and the phrase, “Vino 4ever.”"

I love online Photoshop "experts."

monosierra

Oh no, its not. He wore it in his first race, as he isn't formally back in the Astana fold.

I know that doping jokes are not funny but how can anyone believe that hes not doping. Once a con, always a con. So to me, if he wins one, people will say, well, the doper won.

me would at least.

Fair enough. It is super ridiculous.

I believe wholeheartedly that he was a he doped. I still don't think jokes like meatpant's are funny. Separate issues

Yeah,

I saw a pic of him, I think on Velonews, and I thought they were doing some Montage think. I didn't realize it was just a pic of him in his jersey.

I hate to say it but wearing a picture of yourself like this is probably indicative of a personality disorder.

Would that be multiple personality disorder?

Ah, I like your humor. But sadly, no. More like a mild form of a collection of traits including higher than normal ego-centrism, a distorted self image and need to heap self praise onto oneself. An excessive need to self engratiate oneself. It is common for ruthless dictators to have these traits. Fortunately Vino is probably missing the anti-social murderous trait.

He should figure out how to get "I'm with stupid" printed on that jersey with an arrow pointing to the picture. I hope he has the decency to talk about himself in the 3rd person.

Looks like a 'V' mixed with a tilted '4' symbolizing 'Life' i.e. Vino-4-Life

My understanding was that since he couldn't wear an Astana jersey he wore a jersey with a pic of him wearing an Astana jersey. If that's the case then its a pretty funny joke.

This is probably partly true. But with all the talk of Vino coming back to Astana, I wonder why he couldn't come back to Astana. Is it because JB left and there was no one to negotiate a contract for him. Or does it have to do with some kind of UCI rule that doesn't allow team reorganizations during a certain part of the regular season.

Why on earth aren't doping jokes funny? Professional cyclists who dope ill-legitimize the results, clean racers, and the sport in general with their ridiculous actions. they are jokes of athletes. Vino is a joke of an athlete- i will make fun of him and any other idiot who thinks they can tear down a sport i love and then come back flashing a peace sign, as if to say 'i did my time, now i'm free to cheat again until i get caught.'
when the UCI decides to sack-up and give out a series of lifetime bans, i will end the joking. but until then, if you didn't like my last caption, how about this one:

'oh, you like doping too? that makes TWO of us.'
