The two that Bill Clinton rescued, they gotta be spies...

I'm just sayin... why would the US send an ex-president to apologize?

Euna Lee and Laura Ling, reporters for former Vice President Al Gore's San Francisco-based Current TV media venture, were detained by North Korean border guards March 17.

Here is a sentence. What are the important elements in the aforementioned sentence?

Lisa J. Ling (Chinese (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_language): 凌志慧; pinyin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinyin): Líng Zhìhuì) (born August 30, 1973) is an American (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States) journalist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journalist), best known for her role as a co-host of ABC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Broadcasting_Company)'s The View (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_View) (from 1999–2002), host of National Geographic Explorer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Geographic_Explorer), reporter on Channel One News (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Channel_One_News), and special correspondent for the Oprah Winfrey Show (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oprah_Winfrey_Show) and CNN (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CNN). She is the sister of Laura Ling (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laura_Ling), a journalist who was detained and released in 2009 by North Korea (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_imprisonment_of_US_journalists_by_North_Korea).

Here are two more sentences. If they were ops, you'd never have heard about this story. Unless you irritated someone (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewis_Libby), then you might hear about it.

What you haven't (and NEVER will) hear about is the "deal" that was made in order to get these two released.

By having an ex-president do it, the current administration can deny any/everything "official" but the NK's will still get whatever they've been promised.

pansy.
Real men would have parachuted out of an SR71 while under full afterburners, with nothing more than a knife and compass. After killing a few and taking their HK47s, he would then take the country one compound at a time, and then call in the army to fly them out in a delapidated Vietnam era chopper.

ah, good point. That's probably what really happened and Obama just sent Clinton over there as a smokescreen and to kiss KJI's ass.

Are you kidding? When has a Democrat ever passed up an opportunity to apologize for the USA? Didn't the current President just do a world-wide apology tour?

True, dang, this is a huge plot! Bigger than I originally thought! I'm gonna delete all my posts in the hopes that the government hasn't already read them.

All right - let's see if we can keep it a bit more respectful and out of P&R, shall we.
