I am leaving for a solo ride from Lake Tahoe to Minnesota in a week. I'll be riding North through Northern California up to Hood River Oregon. From there I'll link into the Lewis and Clark and Northern Tier route to get me to Minnesota.
Adventure Cycling has yet to release their "Sierra Cascades" route, so I improvised based on their brief map to get me from Tahoe to Hood River. I'm a little unsure of the route and roads I've selected, if anyone has done a similar route or has any opinions, I would love to hear them.

I enjoy climbing and don't have any issues with smooth gravel roads. I'll be averaging about 125-150 miles a day, camping and/or stealth camping the entire route.
