I'm trying to find a route from Antelope (Elverta Rd and Watt Ave) to UC Davis.

I was thinking I could ride all the way down Watt (about 10 miles?)... hop on the American River Bike Trail to Downtown Sac... then down West Capitol Ave onto the causeway into Davis.

My main concern is riding down Watt Ave because of all the traffic, and I don't think there is a consistent bike lane (is there?). If someone can enlighten me with an easier or more cycling-friendly route, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks!

ride down roseville road, which will turn into auburn road, right on el camino, then left on del paso blvd, then right on the american river bike trail. then you take your way from there

go towards natomas on elkhorn, in rio linda turn left after the high school to get on the bike trail.
at the end of the bike trail leveee turn right, then take your immediate left. follow it to discovery park.
this is all part of the american river bike trail.

it should hook up to the causeway somewhere. not exactly sure though.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm going to try the Roseville Rd and Rio Linda route this weekend.

and to Wookie... I have a road bike, but I haven't touched it for months; I've been riding a fixed-gear... I feel like I just dropped a bomb shell :P

Where in Antelope, and where do you normally ride?

You can also take Elverta to 28th street bike lane, then to Elkhorn and on your way to Rio Linda.

I like to ride out Walerga to Roseville around Del Webb and back.
