Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Okay, it's not a Cervelo, it's not a 2009, it's not even new... but I couldn't pass up a 2007 Trek Pilot 5.2. Full ultegra, same size as my old 2005 Pilot 2.1. And barely ridden, according to Dr. Psimet, who gave it the once-over for me. And at a 1/4 the price of a new bike (which was nowhere near in my budget), I had to grab it.

here's another nugget of wisdom from a wise philosopher of our age: "it ain't no sin to be glad you're alive!" Enjoy the new ride, sounds like an awesome deal!

You'd be amazed at how much an '07 silver 5.2 looks like an '05 silver 2.1...especially to non-cyclist family members.:innocent:

Welcome to carbon! :thumb:

 Good thing. I've witnessed that you have to put insanely light/costly parts on those to get them to go anywhere.

Cruised by a few times today hoping to see it carelessly left lying on the front yard, but alas, no such luck.
