I just posted an interview with Ken Getchell, the promoter of SpectaCross, at In The Crosshairs (http://www.cxhairs.com/2009/08/06/spectacross-one-and-done-a-chat-with-ken-getchell/). Getchell is not sure he will stage the event next year if local racers (New Jersey) do not show up. An interesting read and some food for thought. You can get to it here. interesting in that this year's race was set up, i and a good number of others were registered...then it was cancelled. they were very good about full and fast refund. but i didn't want my money back. i wanted to race in midsummer, mudsummer....o well.

Was there a MABRA race last year that was poorly attended?

I certainly would have been stupid enough to race in the heat if they had had it down here.

This race was doomed from the start, no one could figure out what class to register in and it seemed more circus side show than race.
