South Valley Bike and Run has an event coming up on August 23rd. The course is perfect for cross bikes. We would love to see you there. Read about it here:

This time trial is FREE to all SVBRC Members! Come time yourself! Try the beast of a hill.
Come join us at Concept Cyclery in Morgan Hill, CA. We will have sandwiches, salads, breakfast goods, kids food, juices, drinks, and coffee. We also have a bounce house for kids. Make a fun day out of your ride!!
Sandwiches will require a food ticket when signing up or purchased on site. Please try to buy ahead of time so we can guage the amount of food.
This is a fun time trial based ride. We will be starting from Concept Cyclery. 30 second intervals.
Mountain Bike, Road Bike, and Cross bikes are welcome. Classes and distances:
Beginners (Cat 3-5), MTB, Road, and Cross. 24 miles all pavement. Fast downhill.
Sports Cat (2) - MTB and Cross 39 miles half dirt with some navigation skills through the parks. We provide a suggested route through Henry Code and Harvey Bear. The route is NOT marked. Road bike 24 miles all pavement.
Expert Cat (1) - MTB and Cross 39 miles half dirt with some navigation skills through the parks. We provide a suggested route through Henry Code and Harvey Bear. The route is NOT marked. Road bike 24 miles all pavement.
For the short route, it's up to Henry Coe on Dunne ave through 4 checkpoints, 2 up and 2 back. Both have aid and can carry clothing back.
For the long route there are 5 checkpoints. 2 on Dunne Ave up to Coe, you will then traverse the park through Coe (see map in downloads), exit on the Gilroy side, go through 2 more check points (aid stations), and enter Harvey Bear. Traverse that park and exit in San Martin, then ride the road back to Concept. Maps for both parks and the road are in the downloads. The long course takes about 3-4 hours.
