Hi Everyone,
I'm not sure what they call these things, but I really want to make a bicycle car. I think I saw an advertisement for the building instructions in the back of a Popular Mechanics - it's a four-wheeled, pedaled vehicle that you can make from old bicycle parts. Does anyone know the name of these designs and where I might be able to find them?
Thanks!

I'd recommend looking at http://www.ihpva.org/ they have heaps of information about anything powered by humans. The 'Mango' is a very popular model you can purchase... Hope this points you in the right direction!

Wow...awesome. Yup, that's the right direction! I'm drooling over the design featured here: http://www.ihpva.org/people/tstrike/trike.htm...can't wait to start making it!
Thanks again!

Try google for velomobile (its the covered trikes etc) or quadbike homemade, diy etc.
also www.bentrideronline.com is top starting place.

I'd bet you're thinking about a "Rhoads Car". They have ads
in Pop Mec. magazine. Rhoads Car also has a web site.

Cool, thanks everyone! I think you're right, Tightwad: I was thinking about the Rhoads Car, but they don't seem to have instructions on how to build the car. Anyway, I have lots of information and lots of options...the only thing I need now is time!
