Sierra Trading Post currently has Canari La Mongie Retro Merino wool short sleeve cycling jerseys for $49.95 each. With their one day special emailed offer they were $42.50 each. Three color combinations available and all sixes, S to XL. These look like 1950's wool jerseys with a single across the chest horizontal contrasting stripe. Even machine washable per the description. These are listed as a new item and described as closeouts so should be defect free.

The jerseys arrived today. They seem to be a true to size American XL, which is what I wanted.

They have a single zippered rear pocket, The material is quite light weight wool with no noticeable itch. Listed as 95% Wool and 5% Nylon. Quite long body too, something not true of all jerseys I have looked at. I like them.

That's good! I wouldn't fit in the sizing they list, but if it's a true XL then I would. Do you know what size your chest is by chance? Suit size?

47.5" chest as just measured. I am retired and have not worn, or bought, a suit in years. I have bought XL non biking shirts though that were a tighter fit than the jerseys are.

That's a good deal. I'd buy one if I could, but money is tight, and honestly, I have enough jerseys for a while now.

What about wool tights? They're great for sleeping in cold conditions or walking outside under regular pants in the extreme cold.
