...just kidding.

Woman Jogging in Philadelphia Park Killed by Falling Tree Branch (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,537622,00.html?test=latestnews)

I know this isn't cycling, but since it's on a park path (where many cyclists also ride) i thought it was somewhat relevant. Maybe not though.

Well, with everyone "going green" now perhaps it's equally worth pointing out that the method of this person's unfortunate demise left no carbon footprint. Still not bike related though.

If she'd worn a jogging helmet, this would never have happened.

Weak argument.

I'll keep my earbuds.

Here's a good reason to avoid triathlons. (http://www.pressdemocrat.com/article/20090719/ARTICLES/907199983?Title=Freak-crash-during-Vineman-when-tree-falls-on-cyclists)

I was joking with my thread title, but the story itself seemed to blame the earbuds for the incident.

Since the tree branch was 30-feet long, it's hard to say if she would have been able to avoid it. I don't use my iPod when cycling, as I enjoy the chirping of birds and relative quiet of my morning ride.
