Lets start with the tire they are Bontrager Race Light Hard Case tires. And when I change them (when I rotated them or put them on new rims) it is a battle to get them round. What I mean is the tend to go on and when inflated they can have a flat sport or a high spot. But usually a flat spot. You have to let most of the air out and pull the tire out. This has happened on three different rims so it has to be the tire. When you have a bump you have to push it in. I think this only happened after they had wear but I can’t remember for sure. So I have to be careful when I install them.
Ok now the tube. I had about 1500 miles on this set of tires without a flat. Now I weigh about 235 and these are 25’s so there is some pressure there. The first flat happened overnight. I changed the tube and checked it later a hole on the inside. The tires had glass and metal and rock stuck in them but no penetrations. Well yesterday the tire started leaking a few minutes after I started. I checked for anything pocking out the wheel but nothing. I also have mister tuffy’s inside. I checked the tube when I got to work I find a little slice along a seam and a hole in the middle. Does this sound like a rubbing or other problem?

Try spraying soapy water or something like Windex on the tire beads before you try to mount then on the rims. Sometimes that works by making it easier for the tires to center themselves on the rim as you inflate them.

If you find a hole on the inside circumference of your inner tube, that usually signals a bad rim strip. Look for a place that the rim strip leaves even the smallest hint of a spoke hole uncovered. Your best bet is a rim strip that completely covers the rim from flange to flange. For road bikes 17mm Velox is usually perfect.
