Mountain Biking - Raleigh Talus...does anyone have any input on this bike...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

...good or bad?
I recently looked at one in a bike shop..and I've been offered a heavy discount on an 04 model...so i'm pretty tempted, but wanted to see if anyone else has had any experiences with it first.
The equipment it comes with seems to be rather nice at the least: http://www.raleighusa.com/items.asp?deptid=1&itemid=182&va=0

I've not ridden that, but I will tell you that Raleigh is the oldest bike manufacturer in the USA (that's still in business).
They really focus on the middle to low end side of the scale.
Their bikes are decent, (not great) and are usually built on the heavy side for more durability.
In summary, they're a decent bike. Nothing great, but decent!

Well, I chose to give it a go...i'm buyin it...also going for the optional platform body for the M505 clipless pedals that come on it...that way I can use em until I find a SPD compatible shoe I like.
